Following a 30-31 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, one which the Patriots thought was gifted to the Ravens by the replacement refs after a field goal call that could have gone either way, expect to see the Patriots start off with their foot on the gas and trying to light up the scoreboard early. The Patriots are currently 1-2 and are riding a two game losing streak, which in recent years is not a common occurrence. One thing is clear, and that is the Patriots have no expectations of seeing the losing streak go to three games. During the week, the Patriots ended their experiment with Kellen Winslow Jr. after just one game, and with Hernandez out for a second week, they will likely have Welker heavily involved in this weeks passing attack, along with the best TE in football, Rob Gronkowski. Both Spiller and Jackson for the Bills are questionable, so we won’t know if they will be dressed for the game until shortly before kickoff, but if they dress, the Patriots defense needs to be ready to stop what may develop into one of the best backfields in the NFL.
